They were just advocating for their team and they thought maybe he was safe. We would've done the same thing. Get off the damn announcers. It was a great game. We were always leading. This was a great throw and he was called out.

Announcers, even home announcers, should still hold themselves to a certain standard of telling the people what is happening. UF announcers do not seem to recognize that. Of the Power conference announcers they are among the worst.
The camera didn't show if the runner was tagged before his hand touched home. But it did show that the home plate umpire was in perfect position to make the call. And Bear's reaction said it all.
The amazing thing is his arm could be even better if he'd get behind the catch and actually get his full body into the throw.
The next inning they were still complaining about it even saying "a replay that appeared to go the Gators way"

Also the runner wasn't exactly arguing it and telling his coach he needs to challenge, he just walked off the field probably knowing he was tagged in time

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree then but seriously it was a great game for us. So much whining about the announcers. It really wasn't as horrible as y'all were complaining about. Do better and just be focused on the game more.

I'm of the opinion that our guys are to the polar opposite of this. Oftentimes I wish they were a bit more "homerish"…

I made my 4 month old granddaughter cry when I stood up and yelled what a play. Was doing double duty of watching her and the game.

The best reaction is Gavin at the end pumping Jorian up. He's a great leader.
I like the way the runner tagged out at home gave a Quick Look at Jorian….as if he wanted to glimpse who this guy is….a little nod of the hat in my opinion…..

There were more Florida homers in the booth than on the field.
It looked like his hand never touched home plate. There was a shadow under the arm and hand.
After taking a shoulder to his mouth, he jacks a dinger and makes that throw. He was pissed at Florida for making him bleed.

They were absolutely horrendous. Worst I've heard this year by far. You're not a fan when you're on the air, and stop showing the only frame that made the runner look like he "might " have been safe. Not definitely safe, MIGHT have been. Then they proceed to act like it was blatantly obvious that he was safe. Sounded like a high school production crew. I was embarrassed for them at their lack of professionalism.

lol nick banks? He did not have a great arm. Good outfielder, but definitely not in the top 20 arm strength wise in the last 20 years.
That thing was epic.
Unless Bear just completely whiffed then runner was out by a mile.
I think he got him on the shoulder, but if not then he didn't get him until the belt/hip at which point his hand had progressed to (but maybe above) the plate.

The announcers were conveniently calling the 2nd bounceback tag in the back the first tag. Reality was he bounced off the shoulder and the second tag hit the back. This shot shows that as probable.
If the review booth only had the one angle you just can't turn that call over.
And yes, the announcers were annoying.

You can't tell from this angle but the glove looks close to his face too. If he didn't get the face head then it's almost impossible to miss the shoulder. Doesn't really matter now.
