Pretty crazy, The SB's & TT's announced a last minute pop-up game at the Navasota High School basrball park, free for the locals, about 1,000. You can watch on the Banana Ball youtube station.

Speaking of Bananas.

The Kyle Field game Saturday night. Is "get to the grid" going to be open?

Any other parking ideas?

They've said a scaled back version will be running. Check the transportation website.

No, they will only be running on campus shuttles.

Yep, no off-campus shuttles for this event.

That's ridiculous. A&M wants to host big events like this but can't provide infrastructure for people to come? I'm assuming it's sold out. There are not that many parking spots on campus.

I agree. As late as yesterday afternoon, there were still spots in several garages though. I didn't look at surface lots.

My best friend and I had planned on going to the Auburn vs. Texas A&M baseball game tomorrow, but we ended up backing out because of the insane hotel prices. That's happening because this weekend stacked multiple highdraw events on top of each other in College Station. You've got Banana Ball at Kyle Field on Saturday bringing tens of thousands of outoftown fans, a home SEC baseball series vs. Auburn all weekend, and a home softball series vs. Oklahoma wrapping up, plus other city events like the Show 'Em Off Car & Bike Show at Lincoln Recreation Center. That's multiple fan bases, teams, families, and staff all competing for a limited number of hotel rooms at the same time, so the price surge is straight supply and demand.

Yeah, I wish they'd try not to schedule stuff like this on baseball weekends. The soccer match in 2024, Banana and another soccer match this year. I guess they're beholden to what the organizations can schedule, but I wonder if they even look at the spring sports schedule and try to negotiate.

Brilliant marketing move by the Bananas. A lot of great press and now more will follow them on social media hoping to get a similar pop up game to attend.

Anyone know if the game time for the Bananas is changing today? I heard from some folks that their contract says they can't play at the same time as the Ages, so the baseball DH might affect the start time? Not sure how accurate that is.

Let me guess: you heard it on Facebook.

There are 100,00 people coming. They would have announced a time change yesterday.

Close, my in-laws said it! Makes sense but figured it was worth asking
