We were out of town on the Frio all weekend with no connectivity. What (generally speaking) happened to him?

It looked like he did the splits trying to field a ground ball and probably strained something.

I was also out all weekend... saw lots of Farr and Chestnut in the lineup so I'm assuming that Hacopian is still dinged from his Florida collision in RF with the big guy? Good enough to DH, but not good enough to move in the field?
Yeh, his leg is still bothering him. Running is even difficult; you could see him limp. Still a tough guy to be out there in the DH position.
So to avoid running bases he now only hits dingers.
That's just lazy.
Injury details never get released unless season ending. If he did not tear anything, maybe he can get back by this weekend, or at least for Miss St.

Earley said he has a doctor's appointment this morning and they will know more. Said he felt good yesterday but kept him out as a precaution. Should be fine I would think.

Hard hit ball to third. The ball hit the lip of the grass and he tried to adjust to the trajectory. Dirt was still damp and his foot slipping, causing him to basically do the splits. He pulled a muscle from what has been said and it'll likely be a day-to-day, though as someone said, he has an appointment today.
The splits usually equals a hamstring.
Or a groin pull

Not a super comforting message but not a horrible message. Be great to get him back cause that Sunday lineup is going to struggle winning its own regional

Post-game last night coach said Nico could swing the bat without pain. Also said Hacopian could have played but it is a pain tolerance thing and he said it was a deep bone bruise
My guess is we will see Chris this weekend.. Will see about Nico. They may go slowly there is my take.
Yesterday on B Team Brauny said Nico is dealing with a hamstring issue, not groin (which is what many assumed). Post game last night Earley said that Nico hit some balls with him yesterday and wasn't feeling pain. At least he can continue to get some at-bats while it heals.
With a hamstring issue, it's doubtful that they would chance having him tweak it while running bases. My guess is that he won't be playing against Ole Miss.

Believe you're right. He may be ready for Hoover or Regionals. Chance for somebody to step up.... Jordan, Kiel, Binderup???
