I never understand this kind of comment. Are you saying lsu and ole miss both were planning to take Hacopian and Kellner out of the lineup by throwing a heater at their face?
And are you wanting our pitchers to attempt murder on the opposition?
Just clarifying

JUST TO CLARIFY--
YES, YOU HAVE TO PITCH INSIDE.
We (as a pitching staff) don't do this enough. I've posted numerous times, when we waste a pitch, it appears AGGIE pitchers seem to ALWAYS waste a pitch outside (away from the hitters--say an 0-2 or 1-2 counts) giving no reason for the hitters to be uncomfortable in the batter's box. This (pitching inside) is strategically correct in the game of baseball. In those counts (0-2, 1-2) we don't want to hit the batter by coming inside, we just want to brush them back, maybe set up a pitch on the outside corner, a breaking pitch inside, a low fast ball outside, etc....
"And are you wanting our pitchers to attempt murder on the opposition?"
WOW??? There are some politically incorrect things I'd love to say but will strangle my tongue.
Either you've never played and/or do not understand the game of baseball (not that I'm the Ultimate Wizard), but as pitchers you have to get the other team's hitters, to respect you by pitching inside occasionally--i.e., use both sides of the plate.
NO, YOU DO NOT HEAD-HUNT OTHER HITTERS.
If you ever INTENTIONALLY HIT an opposing hitter (called retaliation), you are hitting them in the @$$, HIP, THIGH, LOWER BACK (a place that is muscular that can take a hit) so you don't "MURDER" them. I realize (or at least hope) the opposing pitcher did not intentionally go head-hunting.
But, if you plunk their hitters each time an Aggie is plunked, it's amazing how that cr@p tends to stop.

When you are behind late in a game, it would be kind of stupid to intentionally put a runner on the base paths.
And the Ole Miss pitcher and catcher looked pretty shook up. The pitcher was a little shaky after that. It's too bad our bats could not do the retaliation.

Toss the pitcher as long as the person hit is out. Don't allow retaliation.S.A. Aggie said:
The pitchers/team need to held responsible somehow for head hits. Like giving the hit team a run or a runner on third, maybe a fourth out.

My source from some players on the team is his eye is swollen shut and had a lot of swelling.

But it is the baseball way.
How do you keep your guys safe? Go after theirs…
Brauny may be right today at some levels but he'd be wrong for the vast majority of high level baseball for 130 of the last 140 years.HoustonAg2106 said:jja79 said:

These days, that gets you suspended and we don't have the bullpen to do that.

I would throw at them. Maybe not at the head. That's baseball. We are a good hitting team. They may not be intentionally throwing at our head but they are probably intending to brush us off and make us uncomfortable. So yeah, return the favor and maybe the opposing teams don't hit off our pitchers like it's BP.
