It is frustrating how we lost to Ole Miss 6-5 in Game 3 because it resulted in losing two consecutive SEC series to drop to 37-12 and 16-10 in SEC play. Hopefully, we can win at least 2 of 3 home games against Mississippi State to finish 18-11 or better in SEC play.

The shift should be shelved, it's a gamble every time you do it.

What's most concerning are the full hacks taken with two strikes, the FAILURE to get the job done with runners at 3rd and less than two outs, the amount of strikeouts due to watching very hittable balls early in the count and not being aggressive at the plate. This "schloss style" crap of running the counts deep is fine if you're a good two strike hitting team, but 31-32 strikeouts in two games says we are not. Royo is the best two strike hitter on this team, he knows how to shorten up with two strikes and put the ball in play.

I don't think they do. The SEC tournament would be good to win and staying in 2nd or 3rd gets us a double bye, but ultimately the SEC tourney means **** unless we win it all when it comes to the Top 8 seeds.

We became the top offense in the SEC by spraying the ball everywhere and being really good with situational hitting. We are NOT doing that right now. All but a few look to be trying to pull absolutely everything.

Also needed Hacopian to hit it to the right side with 2 strikes and get Sorrell to 3rd with 1 out.

Lots of small things Friday night and tonight that didn't get done that cost us.

I feel like Earley made some promises before the season. Why else do you not play one of your best hitters from last year. Team has been searching for a DH all year. Royo has not gotten much of an opportunity until now. I guess better late than never.
