Is it really ok to take 50,000 iu at once? That's like 25 pills....lol
They make a 50.000IU pill that we use weekly all the time. I take one every week.

Doc Rev,

Got the Moderna shot Friday. Have felt bad starting Saturday and feel worse today. Low fever, headache, body aches, runny nose, cough and congestion. Arm hurt bad and lymph nodes swollen for 2 days. Wish I wouldn't have took the shot now. Don't want to get second.

I am also taking all the supplements that you recommend and have since you recommended them. Never tested positive and have felt good all year until now. What do you recommend I do?

If you feel that bad it is likely you previously had covid. You are likely having a storing immune response. Take Advil and drink lots of fluids.

So with natural infection the level of immunity (measured by anti-spike antibody levels) can vary widely, and is generally summed up as the worse the COVID infection, the greater the immune response. So, what that means is that patients who have had an asymptomatic or mild infection likely have lower levels of immunity.

what is known is that a single dose of mRNA vaccine after a COVID infection usually provide robust immunity.

all of that holds if you have a normal immune system. If you are immunosuppressed, either by the medications you take for transplant or an autoimmune disease, or if you are generally debilitated, your responses to natural infection and vaccines may be such that you cannot be guaranteed to be immune

we also know that a significant minority of transplant recipients still don't have adequate antibody responses even after 3 doses of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
What about T cell and B cell as it relates to immunity potential longer term (without anti-bodies present), from a previously recovered covid+?

So I'm officially positive. Day 6 of symptoms. Honestly, everything has been pretty mild. However, today I started having diarrhea. What's the deal with that? Could it have to do with the supplements I'm taking?

To vaccinate or not is a personal choice. Regardless of what you choose and especially for those individuals who have higher risk to danger from Covid 19 (obese, over age 70, diabetic, heart disease, ect) we should emphasize early treatment to this infection is critical.

What are your thoughts on the use of Ivermectin. Some doctors are touting this as a medicine that could end this pandemic. One study in Argentina involved 1200 frontline healthcare givers (nurses) where 800 were given Ivermectin and the other 400 a placebo (no medicine). This was a 8 month study and of the 800 workers, none contracted Covid19, of the 400 placebo participants 58% got Covid19. If true, Ivermectin should be a consideration for those who contract the virus as there are other studies that show it is highly effective in defeating this virus.

Here is a website that provides a lot of information on Ivermectin. There are several videos on this page but a very persuasive one is titled "Congressional Testimony on Ivermectin" by Dr Korey. Thoughts.

Ok I posted this 3 days ago and I anticipated a lot more reaction from this post but for some reason this doesn't seem that important.

SO, I going to up the ante. IVERMECTIN CAN STOP THIS PANDEMIC IN IT'S TRACKS! HOW ABOUT THAT! If that statement is true, we should be shouting this from the roof tops! But if not then SHOOT IT DOWN. '

If you have a trail involving 1200 frontline healthcare givers administering to COVID 19 patients. You give 800 of them IVERMECTIN and 400 of them a placebo. Here are the results over a 8 month period in the height of this pandemic: 800 IVERMECTIN healthcare workers ZERO infections. 400 with the placebo, 252 were infected with COVID19. Ok, don't take my word for this here is the proof. BTW, I have seen no credible authority discredit this study, it is just being ignored.

Ok Dr. Reveille, I saw you cursory telling people Ivermectin can be used to help relieve symptoms, Please give me your take on this study.........I am thinking we have a solution to this virus that is proven safe yet we still want to push a vaccine that half the adults in the U S have major reservations about.

Dr. Rev - been following your thoughts for the last year and appreciate all the insight. My seventh grader got sick and the home Covid test lit up positive today. Looks like we'll be staying in this week. I've had the virus so not concerned about me really but will be watching our other kids and the wife for illness.

I did some searching but couldn't find a protocol for kids similar to the one you promote for adults. Beyond lots of fluids and treating symptoms, is there a supplement protocol we should do like your regular post? Just didn't want to overload a child's body with the supplements like my wife and I would do if we were sick.

Thanks in advance for some thoughts on kids.

This! Most kids do well. Just make sure they are not deficient in anything!

Doc,

I'm sure it's been addressed somewhere along the way, but any advice for an unvaxxed pregnant woman? My wife is about 8 weeks pregnant, and we're just wondering what can be done as therapeutics if she were to contract Covid right now. What's safe for pregnant women to take, especially in first trimester?

I know these may be better questions for her OB/GYN, but she's having to find a new Doc after moving to a new town and our first baby visit isn't for another week and a half.

Getting vaccinated is the recommended course of action. Pregnant women have been shown to more likely get severely ill from COVID-19 compared to non-pregnant people. As for other medications I would be hesitant to use them as they are not proven and could potentially harm the fetus.

We just delivered at Texas Children's due to health issues. Early on my wife decided to get vaccinated.

But once we transferred care to TCH the OB told us he strongly recommend it before he found out we were vaccinated (in a professional manner).

They've lost numerous babies and/or mothers to COVID, especially with delta.

My wife had to do a week long stay at TCH 4 weeks before we delivered and there were 4-6 rooms I passed getting to ours with women with COVID. I heard one of them died, but they were able to save the baby.

So just something to consider. Just read an article today on KBTX (or maybe it was the Eagle) of a mom who lost their child at 37 weeks due to COVID.

Can anyone repost for me please?

To quote doc Rev from his prior posts:

Here is a repost of the supplements we have discussed to have potential benefits.

Quercetin from 250mg up to 1g twice per day Remember this is a Zinc ionophore.
Vitamin D3 Take this for sure if you are deficient and I now recommend taking it either daily or weekly as long as your values are not too high. Remember too much vitamin D can cause issues. However, if you are diagnosed with Covid-19 take 50,000IU immediately as this appears to have significant benefits.
Sleep greater than 8 hours per night
CoQ10 100-300mg per day: a potent antioxidant that potentially helps balance oxidative stress, increase vasodilation, prevent clot formation and decrease vasoconstriction.
Zinc any amount is probably good but take what you can tolerate without making you feel bad up to 40mg. You do not want to be Zinc deficient as it is how many drugs like HCQ work.
Melatonin 0.1mg to 10mg at night. Take what you can tolerate and what helps you sleep without making you feel drugged or tired in the morning. If you are diabetic watch your sugars.
N-acetylcysteine (NAC) - 600mg twice per day shown to decrease severity of influenza, improve lung functions in COPD, antioxidant properties, potentially helps prevent clotting and with mental disorders. Caution for asthmatics as there is potential for bronchospasm but this is rare.
Vitamin C 250mg to 500mg twice per day. Effects debatable in oral form but IV did help in China. But is proven to strengthen immune system
Green Tea either drink some or 1 pill per day alternate zinc ionophore if you don't have or don't take Quercetin
Famotidine 10-20mg twice per day potentially inhibits viral replication and helps with heartburn
Baby Aspirin 81mg aspirin to thin blood and help prevent clots but only after discussing with your physician to make sure you have no contraindications to its use.

Doctor Rev,

I'm 99% sure my COVID test tomorrow will be positive. I think my infection date was 8/27.
I had Covid in April and O2 levels got down to 91 but was able to bring them up to 92-94 using a balloon. I was sick for 3 weeks. I've had pneumonia 3 times with the last case being in 2011. I have an appointment to get the vaccine this Thursday but that probably doesn't matter now.
What should I do at this point?
Madagascar

Will let Doc confirm but you should probably consider taking a large, single dose of VitD to help head it off at the start (doc recommends it in his list). Good luck!

Kind of worried I may be positive. Started having a small amount of chest tightness yesterday and woke up today with what I would call bad allergy symptoms. I usually take a Zyrtec daily and it clears any issues I have up. I doubled the dose today with no luck. Cough started this morning and progressively got worse throughout the day, but still isn't what I would call bad. Currently have a 99.8 temp. Kind of achy, a little pain behind the eyes. All in all not terrible right now. Getting tested tomorrow. I was around (not really ever too close) 3 people this weekend who tested positive Monday. Wife is negative.

I'm 31, and work outside so I feel like I get plenty of vitamin D. Should I still take the big 50,000 dose to start it off? I'm ignorant when it comes to all of that.

Edit to say I got my first vaccine on the 11th, and my second was scheduled for Sunday.
