Brazos county jury duty on March 30. Can't say I relish getting In that close quarter mess with corona happening. Especially since I'm a seasoned citizen.

I had it in Houston, postponed until further notice, I'm sure they will reschedule later!

If you are 60+ or have heath issues that make you high risk I wouldn't go even if it is not postponed.

Just don't go. How can they prove you received the summons?

Texas's Office of Court Administration has sent out recommendations that all courts suspend jury trials and large docket calls until 4/1. OCA does not have authority to mandate these suggestions. However, most jurisdictions will follow them. We are in Amarillo. It is likely their recommendations will be extended past 4/1.

I've been back in college station for 14 years. Three times I got a jury duty summons and all three times it was canceled days before I even got to it. So even if it's not postpone right now most likely it'll get canceled.

Contrast that when I lived in Houston for years I served on three different jury's.

I had jury duty in Harris county late in January. Stuck for four hours in a room with hundreds of people sitting on chairs you know had not been cleaned for weeks. I developed an upper respiratory illness that lasted for ten full days . Never again

Jury Duty April 1st in Brazos County.
My religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me. That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave.
