My employer had already said if you traveled internationally or on a cruise that you need a dr's note to return to work.

Since they aren't testing people with no symptoms, and no dr is going to clear someone who hasn't been tested, the only option is to self-quarantine.

I imagine a lot of employers are doing this.

A mayoral tweet is simply a suggestion. It makes good common sense if you travelled to a location with more COVID than the Houston area, but not if you travelled domestic to an area less affected.

My teacher friend who went to Greece and beat the travel ban home by one day is not doing any quarantine.

I understand that, but with the ban comes fewer flights and they were afaid it would be hard to get home.

She teaches two doors down from me. Most of the young teachers (my next door neighbor is an exception) seem to not be taking this seriously at all.
