FYI, further down the twitter chain someone claims that the headline is sensationalized. Claims that Amazon is focusing on buying medical supplies and household items from their suppliers however won't stop selling what they have in warehouse. I'd like to see another source (can't read linked article, behind paywall).

I need a monitor to WFH. I specifically did not buy one from Amazon yesterday because I was afraid it would get caught up in something like this. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get my wireless earbuds.

Are they stopping all non-medical deliveries or non-medical deliveries from third party sellers? Big difference.

At a glance there's lots of Prime items that have delivery dates by next Monday.

The memo says it's mostly directed at third party sellers (FBA). Also says they are prioritization medical supplies and household goods.

I sell on Amazon as a side gig and got the e-mail this morning. All of my products are blacklisted from new shipments to Amazon's warehouses, which sucks as my inventories are low and I was going to use some of the extra time at the house during WFH this week packing and shipping.

I can still sell fulfilled-by-merchant, but from my experience a large percentage of Amazon customers these days will ignore anything that doesn't have the "Prime" badge.
