The kennel we board our dogs for the night or daycare is now only allowing curbside service. Call and they will pick up and put dogs into your vehicle..

I own a vet clinic in Houston, and we are not letting ANY clients in the building. We go out to the cars and bring pets in for exams. Also suspending all elective procedures. No physical contact with clients.

Most veterinary clinics are also having pet owners stay in their cars in the clinic parking lot. Clinic staff will come to the car to obtain a medical history and then take the pet into the clinic for treatment.

If you think a gutter or a stripper's ass is worse than having someone infected with Covid hand you cash then I really don't know what to say.....

They are just fomites, thus the pre-screening and more concern with owners themselves.

I told my daughter (graduating vet school in May) I wanted to use that term since she told me about it.

Depends. Bring home the coronavirus and you might not get in trouble.Come home with some glitter on you and all hell might break loose.

Didn't you hear, the World Health Org. Said dogs cannot get the virus. That means WHO let the dogs out?

They're a vector. Fomites are non-living things. Vectors are living things.

(For the record, I'm neither. I am just a pedantic a-hole.)

She was explaining it to a dumbass (me) and she probably didn't want to hear my Airplane reference: What's the vector Victor?

Is the Coronavirus a vector or fomite? Apparently there's quite a debate about this among the scientists who study these things. Until today I assumed that viruses were living organisms like bacteria. Not really.
