God bless those folks and the doctors/nurses running around trying to take care of them.

And that was an ER ward, not even a normal hospital floor.

Reporter said at the end

"It seems you either recover and live or you don't and die"". Nobody expected that"

When is this not the case?

Not sure how "shocking" that was. After seeing the warning before the video i was expecting a lot worse. Makes you think it's more of a spoof piece than anything. I did see one patient waiving at the camera in the vid which was great. Hope the patients get better quickly.

My favorite part was the reporter wearing the ebola PPE.

No it's very easy to blame them. Those are the images that cause panic and over reaction.

As for the ventilator technique, I suppose you're talking about the head bubbles. I think he mentioned those are pressurized. I'm guessing pressurized oxygen has some benefit.

Also, I imagine it serves as additional PPE? If their entire head is in a bubble, kind of hard to cough out droplets with viral load?

All of those people need to pee and poop, too. They had bedpans lined up on the counter. Crazy how much work goes into taking care of people in a situation like that. Sometimes very thankless work.
