Close about anything left that was open except food, drugstores, conveninece stores. Factories will have to maintain social distancing to stay open.

Day cares are supposed to keep social distancing? How to you keep two year olds feet apart? Or take care of infants without touching them?

You cannot close banks. You cannot keep people from their money.

Wells Fargo told my husband today that he can use the ATMs outside for anything he needs in regards to his accounts. If you need inside you have to call and schedule an appointment for them to determine if it's something that can be done over the phone/internet.

Dallas is closed, I was just wondering specifically about Tarrant County. We've been open and we're packed today. Wondering if we can stay open.

Some idiot city, county, or state will try it eventually at the rate they're going to constantly one up the rest in the level of response.

Then we'll see a run on banks across the country.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

I work for a bank and banking is still considered essential. Even if the lobby has to close, the drive thrus can remain open. There can also be the option of making an appointment to go inside.

You're severely underestimating the stupidity of the human population. People buying up toilet paper, freezers, paper towels and other crap as if the whole world is just going to shut down. If everyone would have remained calm, none of this **** in the grocery stores would be happening right now.

Withdraw it all in ones and you don't need the toilet paper. Quarters go even further and they are re-usable.

This.

So dumb. Tell people they can only have access to their money online or at a drive through and they lose confidence that their money is actually there. Further, they can't cash out without having the account frozen with a Suspicious Activity Report being filed.

Went through that when I settled a personal lawsuit that resulted in a large settlement that was wired from an attorney trust account on the same bank. They held my money for ten business days because "I might be a terrorist."

The moment my accounts were unfrozen, I closed all accounts including my mother's. They lost millions that day.

Chase Bank sucks. If Wells Fargo goes that route, then Bubba and Sonny's State Bank it is.

Well... we're in uncharted territory with non-essential business ordered closed and issues keeping up with demand at grocery stores due to panic. The situation is not ideal don't be ridiculous.

Was Tarrant really getting hit that hard to warrant that action? Texas has 582 cases out of a population of 27.7 million with a fatality rate of .9%. Seems a little premature to go to that extreme at this point...

If you do it now then you don't get a pop. We shouldn't have to wait till things "get bad" until we act. If everyone would've shut down two weeks ago we would be in a very different place today. The thing is everyone has to do it or else it won't work.

People are scared and don't know what's happening. They need someone to explain what the situation is and what the next few weeks will look like. That way, they understand that grocery stores/banks etc will remain open for business even while the general public is asked to stay at home.

Government: "Price Gouging" is illegal!

Also Government: Masks! We need masks! There are no more masks!

Also Government: Shlt. We gotta keep people from buying up all of the toilet paper. We hereby impose limits!
