I think their stuff is mostly unbranded Skil. Cheap and you'll be lucky to get a few uses. If it's something you'll rarely use, they're perfect. In other words, I love HF!Aggie95 said:
see their ads all the time but never been in their store. I certainly will be when this blows over.
Nothing against harbor freight as they have their place and purpose. Some of their stuff is less than quality, you have to pick and choose. I have some large C clamps I bought at harbor freight that were inexpensive and worked great. I bought adapters for my socket wrench one time I was there for something else and they broke on the first use, twisted right off. They do have a very liberal return policy so I just brought them back. Also used an air cut off tool from there that was actually pretty good.Aggie95 said:

Somewhat ironic that nearly 100% of what they sell is made in China. But, I applaud their actions.

Near 100% of what anyone sells is made in China.

And that needs to change when we get through this.

I'll bet there will be a tidal wave of BUY AMERICAN or DONT BUY FROM CHINA when this is over. One of Tom Clancys' books had a similar scenario.
Their hand tools have a lifetime warranty. HF has effectively replaced Craftsman. With the 20% off coupons, they're a much better valueRCR06 said:Nothing against harbor freight as they have their place and purpose. With that being said this is a great thing they are doing!

Craftsman is made in China now too. It ain't your daddy's Craftsman. If I'm gonna have to buy cheap disposable Chinese crap, might as well spend less and get it from HF where I can return it anytime.
Until good quality and relatively affordable American made tools make a comeback, seems we're stuck with this option.
