I am supposed to move into a new house on Monday the 30th. I have to be completely out of my current apartment by April 2nd. If a local or state-wide shelter in place is issued, will I be allowed to move? Will my movers be allowed to move me?

I know in Washington it is currently not possible to evict someone. Not sure where you're at - what I would say is talk to your landlord if you're worried

I'm in Tyler, TX. I plan to talk to the landlord tomorrow to see what my options are. If movers can move me, I'm gone. But if they're not allowed to work, I'll need to extend my lease unexpectedly, I suppose.

Movers are allowed in most shelter in place

I would call your moving company to confirm things are still on as planned. I can't imagine authorities would hassle you over a move.

I doubt it. Not here in California. That said, the healthy 29 year old daughter (a nurse) of a long term friend just passed away tonight after being in icu with pneumonia and ultimately succumbed to heart failure. Not yet confirmed Covid but there is little doubt. Take this seriously, no matter your age. This young woman did NOT have underlying health issues.

Run over to the grocery store off Erwin that morning if you really need help.
