NawlinsAg's post brought up a discussion that has been going on in my house for the last week or so. My wife is a physician just South of KC. Thankfully we don't have any confirmed cases at her hospital yet but it is only a matter of time.
We're already following a similar procedure to NawlinsAg about coming into the house (stripping in the garage, showering immediately, disinfecting all items from work (phone, computer, work bag, etc).
As this gets worse and the risk of infection goes up I along with the kids will probably leave for my parents house. For those of you with a guaranteed risk of exposure are you sending your spouse and kids somewhere else? What time is the right time to make that transition and do you think it is right choice for you? Does the emotional stress of being alone at home outweigh the stress of worrying about getting your family sick if they had stayed?
