Also, parkland hospital recently hired them to make masks but I don't think they're N95 specification.

I have been making these, with metal to bend around nose and cotton filter in them plus custom outer fabric. How many are you needing?

I just got a quote back from these guys. $3.75 a mask. 7-10 day lead times. Thanks for the help!

I run a sewing plant in Mexico, I could have a lot of machines blowing and going on masks, but would need the piece goods.

On the mask being talked about, is $3.75 for the full package mask or only the labor charge?

We just quoted a safety company in the states $1.65 a dozen for a basic bound mask, labor and thread only.

Sourcing the piece goods and elastic is what I am not entirely sure about.

I am making some for my daughter's hospital. I have some material - the material doesn't seem to be hard to find, but waiting on elastic and/or bias tape for ribbons - that is hard to find.

Quarter inch rubber will work just fine. Fullflex offers a lot of different styles, I have used in swim suits and on other applications.

You can also go to an office supply store and get some #64 rubber bands or the next bigger size if they have them. Cut them in half, double fold the ends, and stitch them. Use like a size 65 or 70 needle, or whatever the home variant is. Back in the day this is what sweat pants, football pants, and the like used as elastic and it will work.

If you are using bias for the stretch, just try cutting a knit fabic at an agle. There aren't a lot of bias services left in the states.

Full mask. They advertise they are selling at cost.

I don't know the pricing on this stuff, so I would be remiss on really opining about it.

I got the packet from Hanes on making masks for them, and the offshore labor for those, including thread is about $0.15 an each, in the states it would be about $0.30 to $0.40 an each.

In today's world if you can get em', it is probably well worth it.
