184 miles cycling, 86 miles running this month.
I'm at 179 miles cycling this month, crazy how close we are.

Quarantine been good for my weight loss. Easier to control what I eat and to make time for exercise.

I don't have that many cycling miles, but the last time I drove my car was February.

I've been biking to the grocery store and the bank. 31 miles ran, 22.6 miles biked.

I built a mobile workbench station thing for my miter saw and table saw. Turned out great. Also has storage room for lawncare equipment.

Been building more garage shelves and organizing. It's been fun.

So, mostly woodworking and stuff I've been putting off.

Taking over basically the entire back yard for vegetable gardening.

Air Force online JPME

Making bread with the fianc.

Generally being just active enough online during the day for coworkers to not start thinking I'm sitting around watching tv without pants on.

Sprayed mesquite, fixed fence, made a can crusher, cleaned shop, prayed, and my wife practiced social distancing from me.

Also naps. Suddenly I can take naps and it's ok.
I don’t say this in a braggedocious way. But it’s true. I’ve been right about everything.

Giving tuning my piano a go. I don't know if my tuner is locked down or not but I can't risk infecting a great musician.

There are 232 strings vs 6 on a guitar (sigh). Yes I have a tuning hammer and use an electronic tuner on my laptop.

Going back to basics and learning to play the guitar correctly. Always wanted to play some Gipsy King's - why not now?

what kind of printer did you buy? I have a Dremel brand and an Ender 3. It's been a really fun hobby to get in to on the side.

What 3D modeling program and slicer are you using?

Are most of you guys here not actually "working" from home? I see a lot of free time here, something that I ain't got. Hell, yesterday was the busiest workday I've had since this thing started. Kind of happy about that, I don't feel I'm losing any sort of edge fortunately. Day flew by. Feel lucky in that way, many folks have no choice.

Most of us are at home and still getting a paycheck. Some of us aren't getting much of a paycheck because most businesses have stopped.

Most people working from home realize they can get done what they need to get done in half a day now.

This just goes to show how much work productivity is lost in showering, dressing, commuting, putting your laptop in the dock and logging in, getting your first coffee 100 feet from your desk, etc.

I've long been an advocate for working from home blended with a couple of coordinated days in the office.

My wife and I are both unemployed and job seeking. She's a consultant and her last contract ended at end of February. I lost my job on March 13. Nothing to do with covid- lost out on some organizational restructuring. Anyway you can only spend so much time searching on internet, networking and talking to recruiters. So I fill the gaps by running and doing little odd jobs and chores around the house. Oh and lots of NY Times crosswords.

Tableau. I've been a casual user for about five months now.

I'm working on analysis of Covid deaths in Michigan (using NYT's daily dB at github) with 2016 Mich voting results by county to estimate effect on the 2020 prez election. So far in my estimation trump's narrow win in '16 would be increased by .1% based on cv deaths alone. Such a small number given all my assumptions...could be way off based on so many factors. Either way it's been a good exercise.

I'm learning the MacGyver theme song on piano / keyboard. There are a few kick a covers on YouTube. I want to add my own by the end of quarantine. It's going to be a real challenge to play anything like those You Tube covers. But I'm working at it

I use Fusion 360. Free if you're a "student" for a year. Pretty intuitive and lots if vids on youtube.

The slicers I use Ultimaker Cura for the ender 3 pro and the dremel digilab for it. But it's really the same as ultimaker cura, just rebranded.

made a raised bed, learning about companion/guild planting, attempting a 'lasagna' sheet soil style, reading about lots of soil things and might make a 4-tire worm compost for ****s n grins.

also, my business is still operational, but what better time to fail at something than the beginning of the apocalypse?

I should probably sleep more, considering all things, but I'm finding it difficult not to engorge myself in entertainment or learning about this gardening hobby.

I think i've been given subtle permission to throw a few cannabis seeds in there.... but i wasn't planning on it, until she told me not to.

What better time to draw ire from your spouse, than the apocalypse? amirite? i'm excited for the future guys.

the best time to plant a tree is yesterday.
