I said this back in February, this is highly contagious, with weeks of being asymptomatic. There will be several million infected before this is done, with a vast majority having little or non-severe symptoms. Low end says 40% infection so130 million people, so I don't think we should get too excited about a few million cases.

They are both important because they are directly linked. Please stop dismissing either, and I would say that hospitalization rate is the biggest thing that matters right now

I could be reading these wrong, however, most say it can be up to 14 days from exposure before symptoms show, if the virus is incubating in your system I assume you are contagious during this time frame. I guess upon reading these you can say in the 5 days prior to recognizing symptoms you are contagious.

I do agree that the real stat we need to be watching is how many are in the hospitals daily. That is the key number determining our capability of controlling the virus.

The number of deaths is pretty morbid but I guess that shows how successful we are at controlling the virus.

100-200k over the course of a month would be devastating. Let's hope we've got this thing on the right path.
