The banter between the docs is great as we all exchange ideas on how to fight this thing, and yes some of us are more at risk than others, but universally I just wanted to say THANK YOU to the nurses, the RT's, the nurse assistants and anyone else who enters the room repeatedly, to provide medical care and human care to the sickest. If a thank you has already been posted, then thank you again.

It's both heart warming and heart breaking to see our nursing staff and others care for these patients. The stress of it all is only exacerbated by the humanity in it. To see the clinical staff brought to tears as a family says goodby via facetime or another method is hard. You all inspire and always have, by the care and concern you give to people you just met 5 minutes ago or 5 days ago.

God bless you all and keep you safe as we all fight this together!

Agree. RNs spending hrs in ICU units with these people. Not every MD examining the COVID pts daily at my hospital. Think that is sound protocol. Unless changes in status.

As an EMT, I am thankful to not even have to enter the ER to transfer patient unless patient is critical. At one hospital, staff meets us in Ambulance bay to receive patient.
