I don't want to turn this into a debate about social science research, but 538 is misreporting the hand washing questions in the Grinnell poll, which are problematic and limited questions in the first place. And there's other questions in the Grinnell series that show more drastic behavioral differences.

Back to jolly ol' Boris.

If you click on the link, there's a lot of data about that. But they could easily have said "large" majorities, but sometimes those academic polling types don't like ambiguous words like "large."
