This forum is probably the most likely to get me realistic advice.

I got my 3d printer going yesterday, all the EMS/VFD and nursing folks are begging for as many of the "ear saver" bands as they can get at this point. Locally this is not a problem, but there are a couple of Houston folks, and even an EMS friend in California that have begged me to send. A few.

I've never tried to print shipping at home that could be dropped in a drop box without much public interaction, is there an easy option? I'm 100 prints in and haven't scratched the requests...

I'm sure the instructions exist on the carriers websites, I'm wondering what carrier would be the easiest at this point.

USPS will pick up large orders at your house. Print shipping labels and place the packages on your doorstep. Then online select pickup from door and your regular mail carrier will pick them up

Thia will be a few smaller ones, they aren't very big, and I'm shipping about 3 dozen at a time.

This is them, I have a few other phrases as well. The people I'm giv9ng them to get a chuckle out of them, and they don't take longer or more plastic than an x brace or solid.

What do these do exactly? Sorry for the ignorance...

That should be fine. I've done pickups for one small box before.

Oh and I love the "this is the way" one. I will wear that for sure.

The surgical masks are destroying peoples ears , rubbing them raw to bleeding. You hook the mask straps into this on each end, and it sits on the back of your hair.

They aren't much, but some of these folks are working 15 12s of every 20 days, and are to the point of taping tissue behind their ears. As silly as it seems, I've got a waiting list already, i posted them last night.

Nai, youd probably like "expecto patronum" as well :-).

You would have gotten better advice with one showing "Texags knows stuff."

If someone will design it for me in CAD, I will make those too. This file is available free on thingiverse if someone wants to edit it.

I absolutely am not/will not take money from medical personnel or responders for these btw( I keep getting aaked). If you want some let me know, I'm hoping by monday to have produced....a lot lol.

I think work will let me do a pickup there, I just need to find padded envelopes now.

Ag_of_08 can you post the thingiverse link to the ones you are using? That website is infuriating to simply browse, much less find something specific you are looking for. I've got an ender3 up and running with about 100 prints of standard ear savers but would love to print the nurses some "cooler" ones if it might help raise their spirits!

Why can't you use a piece of string/shoelace to tie the two ear loops together behind your head, resulting in not touching the ear?

Seems more practical and available.
