I'm helping my company set policy around employees who test positive for COVID (C+). Currently, we're following CDC guidelines for quarantining C+ employees or employees who have come in close contact with C+ people.

Many test results show either + or - for people getting tested. Do these same tests show + for people who had COVID and now carry antibodies? Or, is that a completely separate test? We just want to make sure we're not keeping people from work if they are already immune.

Swabs done at drive thru testing sites are testing for viral RNA, not antibodies. Those that test positive are actively shedding virus.
