Bout' time. Lots of rural hospitals lost a ton of money, furloughed Docs, Nurses, Medical staff. One hospital in OKC shut down completely and will stay shut for awhile. But it now will serve as a backup if other hospitals get full of Corona patients. But that ain't gonna happen.

Not a single hospital in OK ever came close to reaching capacity and we always had enough ventilators. PPE was a problem and still is, but that should ease up soon - lots of PPE on order is expected to arrive soon.

Half of our 77 counties have 10 or less cases. Nine counties have ZERO cases.

Great call by the Governor. He hopes to start relaxing restrictions in early May, but that's not a sure thing yet.

Did you see the temp tents in the parking lot of the west side hospital? Was surprised they our them up. The parking lot as a whole has been empty. Hospitals are taking a beating.

Tulsa is not hard hit either. Everyone is doing a good job of distancing and essentially everything outside of bars , a few stores, and a few restaurants that can't do takeout easily are operating.

I don't see an issue with limited opening of essentially everything. Everyone is aware of the need to distance themselves. If you go into a restaurant, store, or public place like a golf course or playground and it doesn't appear safe then leave.

I don't think a kid should go to a playground and then go to grandma's. Actually if granny is over 65 then there should be very limited contact. Granny needs to stay home and go to the store during senior hours.

Opening things up requires YOU to be socially responsible and decide what YOU are comfortable doing. I'm ok going to a bar or restaurant that is setup for distancing but I'm not going to the dentist unless I have a major issue. I can control my situation. If Bass Pro or Golf Galaxy is letting too many people in or they have lines I'll just go home an order the stuff on Amazon. If I go into a restaurant and someone is not social distancing I'll get up and leave. I would elect to workout at home vs a gym but if it's cleaned and operated correctly it's ok. If there are 6 people in the movie theater I'll stay, if there are 12 I'll leave and go home and watch Netflix.

If I need surgery there needs to be hospitals available that does not allow Covid patients. That pretty simple social distancing. Then you can choose if you want to have surgery in a Covid hospital or a non-Covid hospital.

So long as you stay in OK but we all know that doesn't happen. The problem is, one states decisions effect everyone eventually.

Good post, but 6 vs 12 in a movie theater? seems like a low number either way in what is usually 200-300 seats for a newer one. I think a better point would be if there are 20, I'll stay, if there are 100 I'll go home.

I'm having a hard time finding a movie that will have less than 12 in a theater. Just nitpicking you a bit

That's exactly the way it should be handled. I'm guessing they will limit to 25% capacity in a theater. I'd be ok with 5%-10% but that's me. I'd also want to go to the first showing and I'd like to feel comfortable that they disinfect every night/morning. Some will be more willing to attend a movie theater, especially if they are in their teens or twenties. Personally, I think movie theaters are done. I'd prefer to pay $25 at the house for a first run and $15 2 months later.

I went to Costco Saturday at 10:30 am. I won't do that again. Too many people and too many out for some event shopping. I'll shoot for 10:00 on the nose on a Tuesday. I'm comfortable with that.

I think I'll pass on bowling for now. I guess if I had my own ball and we had 2 people per lane it would be ok. I guess if I knew 3 others we could take 2 lanes and make it work. No league bowling for me. I'd be ok playing in a golf tournament. If I knew the person I'm riding with I'd be ok with that but would prefer to have my own cart.

Be responsible and realize what ok to you may not be ok to others around you. The bar for social fouls needs to be raised. Some people are oblivious and that won't change.

Can you layout how you are going to create and more importantly maintain a "covid free" hospital without a reliable fast test for covid-19? It only takes one false negative to turn a non-covid wing into a covid wing

Oklahoma is definitely not leading. The Tulsa Mayor is dragging. The suburbs will lead Tulsa out I suspect. There aren't many places where you can't social distance in the suburbs. Restaurants are just a few chains and a few locals. Tulsa has the downtown area, cherry street, and a few other areas where people will have to walk on the street next to each other. Our suburbs are pretty small. Maybe 50k people per north south east and west. We don't have mass transit... well we do have buses that are unused.
