Last Friday Ms SPF250 and I "hosted" a few neighbors to a socially distant wine in the driveway event. We've all been home, but infrequently seen, so it was good to catch up at a distance of six feet.

After a failed attempt with the 42 app last week, MyAgBros and I held a 42 happy hour spread over 800 miles last night. We used some excess security cameras with video feeds assigned to each player. Zoom for audio. One player had to shake, pull and play for each based on verbal instructions. Not ideal but it got the job done. There was a righteous beat down applied, with the final score 7-2 and 7-2. Yours truly lost Back In The Box to close it out. Rematch scheduled for next week.

What are the rest of you doing to stay sane?

I'm lucky. I'm still working 5 days a week from the office. Golf twice a week. It's been pretty much 100% normal for me actually. Other than wearing a mask at work and missing my daily coffee / snack in the morning.

This is an introvert's dream..... and easy to stay sane because life isn't much different now for the most part.

We live in the un-incorporated county on over an acre and I rarely go much of anywhere outside of work anyway. Only big downside is we have been unable to really travel and take a weekend getaway trip. We've done a little more work around the place, cleaning up/organizing the shed, made changes to the chicken coop, etc. We go take a 30min-1 hour walk as a family every evening after dinner. Kids go out into the yard to hunt crawdads, and we have a new disc golf set up in the yard.

Other than that, it's life as usual out here in the country.

I am hiking about 50 miles a week which equates to almost 3 hours a day to fill the mornings. I have tamed a side yard hillside, built and filled 7 raised beds and now have a gopher proof garden over there and today I am beginning the re landscaping of my backyard which will include planting 150 plants. Quarantine is exhausting. I need to go back to work to get some rest and save my liver as I relish all the work accomplished each night! Physically I am beat and admittedly, I am enjoying myself.

Golf or go to driving range once a week, Oculus Quest, hill country parks that are still open, TPWD parks that are opening back up, fishing. Guess I miss going to bars and seeing groups of friends.

My family and I have really gotten into Geocaching during this last month. Actually pretty fun with the kids.

I am still working 5 days a week (veterinarian), so it is my wife that is having trouble staying sane

Reading the Bible, seeing patients, playing with my grandson, drinking wine, living in the country, in other words, about the same as always. Miss Aggie sports. And online church is not the same.

Some beer. But mostly vodka.
I don’t say this in a braggedocious way. But it’s true. I’ve been right about everything.

Running a lot. 81 miles in March (only 17 days of running). Pretty decent for a 59-year old. 72 miles this month so far (14 days of running). This merely (hopefully!) negates the increased drinking!

Went sailing on Corpus Christi bay with some close friends. Wet a hook, caught some hardheads. The trout were social distancing from my hook.

Last night I returned home and took a stroll in the park with my daughter. We sat on a bench and she read me another chapter from the Purpose Driven Life.

Went and bought a DQ blizzard last night with my wife. God is good!

Barbell training in what has become "my own" gym, since I have the key to the gym and we are closed. No one's there so I get to have a lot more fun. I can verbalize, go shirtless without scaring the populace (or getting laughed at by guys who are actually ripped), listen to hard rock, rap and anything else unedited and all of this has made me realize I need to train in my garage once I can piece together what I need. I have done a lot of garage gym research. Since I mostly barbell train, I can keep it relatively simple.

Online church is like workouts from home. Suboptimal and won't get you stronger. Better than nothing, but you still have to have the right tools and setting to grow, physically or spiritually.

Haha. We are employing the same logic except I no longer run, just hike but similar mileage. Very impressive to be running it! My favorite technology is my Apple Watch right now!

Working 40 hrs/wk as a software engineer remotely, picking up ~10hrs/week as a graduate TA for an Oregon State Univ class, running 20-30miles/week, cooking food, riding my bike.

I love this tbh.

We have yard and street parties 2-3 times per week with distancing. Walking with the wife, no more running as I blew out my meniscus.

Wish the gym was open. Cooking lots of different dishes. Fuels business so pretty much dead for me otherwise.

As I'm currently unemployed can't justify buying an Apple watch - would like to based on my daughter's experience with hers. She's home with us now working from here,. We're running together a lot which is another benefit of these times. Our plan is to run the White Rock (half) marathon in December. I will be 60 by then. Ran the Austin half when I turned 50

It is funny that you says this. We an incredible pastor at our church and he is very tech-savvy and has already been streaming the service for awhile but I am just now watching it from home.

There is something about asking for the offering over the internet that gives me a televangelist feel. I know that is not fair but that is my only baseline.

Oh, and my wife has taught us to play Mah Jong. And I'm into it. We play several times a week. I'm even playing on line. I'm kind of addicted.

One thing you can read from this is that many are staying more active than likely in their normal life. I hope if one thing comes from this is that America stays more active and outdoors, but I have little doubts we'll go back to our fast food, bars, restaurants the second we can.

I have the capability of working from home, but there are some functions that have to happen in the office. So, I am in the office for partial days about 4 days per week. The change of scenery helps. Ms SPF250 typically travels 3-4 days per week and is working strictly from our home office. That plus not being able to travel and see her elderly parents or our grandson mean she's going a little stir crazy. Lots of Facetime and Zoom going on in the house.

Really enjoying hikes with my husband. We've been in the SF Bay Area for 30 years, and we've found some new beautiful hikes.

I have my son and daughter living with us. I've actually been busier because everyone is home and there is more to clean.

I'm also the designated grocery shopper/cooker. I've cooked more than I have in years.

BBQing, golf once or twice per week. Happy hour in the backyard on nice days. Really, we've started making dinner an event.

Bought a pizza oven. You need to make dough and let it rise for 2-3 days. So we have something to do on Wednesday to be ready for Saturday. Invite the kids over and it's a pizza party for 4.

Playing monopoly! Bourbon goes well with monopoly!

Tried a puzzle....... no thank you...

Dominos if we can get the girls to play.

2-4 mile walk everyday. Our dog loves the Coronavirus!

I'm 59 but feel like an 80 year old retiree who works on the side a little and gets out of the house for golf and hit the grocery store every week.

I've been thinking about buying a boat and getting back into fishing. I gave that up 25 years ago.

Playing peacemaker between my wife and 8 and 4 year old boys while trying to WFH has been a drain....

Bought a bike...try to ride everyday. Can't get into workout from home videos...

Eating way to much (input > physical output)

Tell myself I am not going to have a drink at the end of the day and breakdown anyway. This includes opening some really nice bottles we were saving for some reason...

Dreaming about where and when we can go on vacation

Trying to play golf once a week

Honestly, it has been a blessing to spend more time with my boys. They can be a complete pain but I get it's hard on them to be cooped up. Oldest misses his buddies and our baseball season.

My kids' ages too. Girl (8yo) and boy (4yo). The 4 year old is a handful without having the structure his daycare gives him. But it's a blessing to get this much time with them at this age.

Introvert here.
This is not an introvert's dream.
Having extroverted kids and an extroverted wife next to your side every waking hour and talking your head off is not OK.
I go on long drives just to be by myself and listen to music.

I am definitely spending more time with the kids, but it is not quality time.
It is usually high tension time trying to also be their teacher in between trying to do my regular 60 hour a week job.
I think when I was away during the day, I came home and spent more focused, quality time with them.

I guess by "introvert" I mean I'm generally ok with not being around people not my family. I'm not so introverted that I don't enjoy being here and working on things around the home with them.

I'm working from home, so I do get to close myself in the office/man cave/reloading room and also get up at 0540 on work days, about 3 hours before anyone else. So I do get my alone time.

Checking trail cams and fishing in my free time. My life hasn't changed all that much but I fully recognize that life has changed dramatically for many people.

On my way to deliver groceries to a buddy/former coworker who's got all the worst kinds of underlying health issues. Trying to keep him out of the stores.

I'm trying to get a clustering and aggregation algorithm to work. I wish I could work outside and get projects done around the house, though.
