Randomized controlled trial, sample side 129. No paper yet.

Quote:

A total of 129 patients were randomized: 65 for usual treatment + tocilizumab, and 64 for usual treatment.

The primary efficacy endpoint, which was the combination of ventilation need or death at 14 days, was significantly reduced with tocilizumab.

Great news! Hopefully production will be able to ramp up quickly since I know some of the MDs on here have mentioned having trouble getting toci.

Glad to see Marcus and some of the other MDs who have been optimistic about it now have some favorable data.

sarilumab on the other hand seems to disappoint.

Small sample size study in China with positive outcome wasn't replicated in a larger study.

Interesting. Surprised sarilumab neg. Would think class effect. But TBH I am skeptical of anything from that country. Worldometer still has their total cases at 82000. Actually funny to think that anyone believes them.

Sorry for being unclear - the small study in China was positive, but wasn't replicated with a 10x larger one.
