I didn't see any discussion in that first link about why that particular vaccine could help with coronavirus. It's an interesting theory, but it also seems it could be circumstantial. I'd bet you could find a bunch of other differences between the countries who weren't hard hit and those who were.

The hypothesis is that it has a particularly strong effect on innate immunity, which provides an immune boost to many pathogens, Covid among them. There is a lot of interesting data to support this.

For us non-medical folks, why do they believe Indians may be less susceptible to Covid?
