Just told there was a positive at my office. Mandated masks and social distancing since mid May. Not 100% adhered to tho. Should I be worried?

What are your risk factors? Age, health, proximity to infected?

Gonna happen. We had our first last week...jumped to 5 today. Manufacturing plant (not food related at all)...all are temps we use and all isolated to 2nd shift. Multiple got tested on their own and 2 have it (first one had it and lives with 2 other positives). 3 have zero symptoms and would have never known they had it if they didn't test. The one who had it first didn't have symptoms until 3 days after her last day at the office.

We temp scan, clean everything between shifts, stagger shifts for no cross contacts, wear masks, social distance as much as possible. We have protocols for different levels of contacts.

Inevitable at some point...and I wonder how many have it or have had it with no idea....

I agree with you 100%.

When I had covid-19, we closed the office for the duration so I could keep working. Everyone else stayed home on full pay.

How are you smell and taste?

Smell and taste are fine. FWIW, I take my temperature every morning and I'm good.

CDC estimates would put it at 20x

Out of curiosity, do you find the bouts of lightheadedness to be "rolling" waves that sort of come out of nowhere and go away, or changes in breathing patterns like it's a conscious act rather than something that just happens?

The lightheadedness comes on suddenly, lasts about five minutes, then goes away. I'm not consciously aware of the breathing issue until it occurs. It too does not last long.

Maybe so. I'm talking completely asymptomatic and don't even realize they have it. I'm sure there are quite a few who feel something but never test, too.

We have been open for work during this whole time with about 30 people in the office and 50 guys that track in and out of the office daily that's been out and about doing work. There has not been anyone wearing a mask or gloves in our office and the guys in the field wear the PPE when required.

Other than that we have not had anyone during that time that has tested positive. I know it's inevitable but so far nothing and we really don't social distance in the office either.
