I've never gotten a cold twice in one year. At a certain point past results matter.

I've also never gotten the flu in my life so I might not be a great example.

You might expect that if you had a mild case before, that if you got reinfected that it would be mild again.

What do you think would happen as you age?

If you had a mild case as a 30 yrs old, would you expect to have a mild reaction at 40, at 50, at 60?
Of course, this is ignoring the possibility that the virus mutates over a time period of decades.

This has been discussed on here and the article I read this morning mentions the caveat. If true, the durability of immunity is most likely related to the severity of the infection.
Good thing the Moderna vaccine induces antibodies at the level of someone who is symptomatic rather than the lower level for asymptomatic, even at the lowest dose.

There is not going to be a vaccine in 7 months. It will be 2-3 years at minimum, and it's still a long shot even then. There has never been a successful coronavirus vaccine in humans or other animals. It's extraordinarily difficult in these types of viruses.

The fact that kids under 20 are largely immune or have low severity cases suggests that this study is bunkum IMO. And if the study is correct, it also implies that a vaccine has a low chance of success.
False

So now everyone can get the virus again in 2-3 months? So are you saying I should just give up on a vaccine since it will be worse than useless?

I would not believe that.

I read a study from the last covid crisis and some patients had immunity for years. Dr Coats has already posted a study that proves some immunity.

If what you are saying was true Italy, Spain,France and others would be seeing this all over. They are not. Look at their numbers.

Sweden is following this closely and has stated they haven't had one reinfection to date.

There actually are effective coronavirus vaccines available for animals. For instance there is a canine GI coronavirus with an effective vaccine. It's just not used as much as it used to be as the disease itself is pretty mild and generally only affects young puppies.
