My husband and I are in our late 50s and have type A blood.

I'm wondering what we should do if we come down with Covid. What's the recommended treatment?

We also have to fly in a few weeks. We have N95 masks. Any other precautions?

Are you taking the extra vitamins/supplements that the poster Reveille recommends? He is the doctor on here that has a list posted of the vitamins/supplements he recommends to boost immune system.

Take a lot of Vitamin B and see if your blood type changes.*

He has a thread at the top of Covid forum- think it is called Covid 19 Aggie Physician Update or something similar ..

In that he gives a link for his Facebook page and that is where I got the list of his recommended vitamins/supplements. Do you have Facebook? If so, look up Dr. Louis P. Coates

He writes daily updates and his list of vitamins/supplements is usually at the bottom of each daily update. If you can't find his Facebook page, let me know.

I am taking everything he recommends. Some of the things weren't carried in my local pharmacy or grocery store. So, I checked and most could be bought off of Amazon or Swanson Health website. I ended up buying most items from Swanson Health website because they carried some of the vitamin brands I've used before that Amazon didn't .

Been following Dr. Coates on Facebook and take the supplements.

We are in the process of moving and have to fly back to California to close on our house and get a few things and one of our cars.

Type As shouldn't t be treated any differently than the others. IMO. No comment on nutritional supplements.

Should we notify our doctors if we test positive that we are type A. My husband has hypertension.

Neither of us is overweight, and we are getting outdoors a lot now so I'm not as worried about low vitamin D.

The only treatments I read about are once people are hospitalized. I'd like to avoid going to the hospital, but haven't read much about how to avoid going to the hospital.

I'm blood type A also. I was taking all of the supplements until recently. I would caution anyone taking the N-Acetyl-cysteine. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Unfortunately I think it gave me Kidney stones. Sharp jabbing pain my lower left side. The warning on my bottle says although it is rare they can cause Renal stones. So use caution when taking these things.
