COVID-19 & Pets Research at TAMU
From the website:
Researchers at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Science (CVM) are interested in sampling pets (dogs and cats only) that live in homes with confirmed human COVID-19 cases in Brazos County and surrounding areas to learn more about animal exposure and transmission pathways, with the ultimate goal of protecting human and animal health.
Participation will involve our field team visiting you and your pet at your home to collect swabs and a blood sample from your pet(s). Sampling will take less than 15 minutes and will be completed at your residence. You will never be asked to surrender your pet. The supplies used in this research project will not detract from human testing capabilities.
