My 6th day. Still no results from my Weds 9am COVID test.

Lungs much clearer, less coughing, fever still gone.

Honestly, I kept up with my daily healthy smoothie regimen with vitamin supplements. Taking 1 Tylenol, 1 Vick's nighttime cold, and 1 mucinex.

I have been advised to take low dose aspirin since I have been exposed. It looks like small clots cause the most damage to the brain and organs.

I am not a Doctor.
Yes. I agree. If I get it I am taking ASA 325mg (full strength not 81mg) po QD. Prothrombotic state is real. Hospital pts are receiving full anticoagulation - heparin GTTs, eliquis, lovenox etc.

OP get well.

The AMAZING update. Praise GOD for the outcome.

Put him on Remdesivir yesterday at 5pm.. He slept through the night, coughing disappeared, and he was up eating breakfast on his own this am. On the road to recovery!!!
Fantastic news Keller. If you don't mind sharing, will you report back your medical costs once known?

Since their my in laws, I may not be privy to that info, but I'll let you know if Govt/Ins doesn't pick it all up.
have to believe he is Medicare. His stay is a good example. needed help, received therapeutics.....then left. is that $2K or $20K or $200K? I have no idea. medicare is F&cked.

Update. Remdesivir was a big boon to my FIL. Continued supplemental O2 for several days past Rem use. Came home yesterday with ZERO supplemental O2 needs. He's 73, overweight by 75+lbs, no spleen - definitely in the "highly susceptible category".

For me, lethary and cough (no fever past 2nd day) continued into Day 9 - fever came back. Took an immune IV booster from a Southlake doc with Pulmicort asthma treatment (Midland Doc "Silver Bullet") followup Thursday mid-day. After 8 days, I received my COVID test results of Positive at 2:30pm Thursday. Feeling good and expect to be completely normal in the next few days. My bio: 50 years old. Decently in shape. Slightly overweight at 6'2", 205lb.

Crazy story: Upon release from UT Southwestern, my MIL asks my FIL's doctor if they should do a COVID test to see if he's now negative. He tells her "Not really worth it, as the test kits are highly unreliable".

Are you freaking kidding me?
