I've never considered myself one but ever since my first known exposure a month ago, I wake up every morning micro analyzing every little sensation wondering if its a symptom. Given my age, health history, and blood type, I know the flu is deadlier for me than this. With my little one in daycare up until a few months ago, I know I have been exposed to my fair share of "common cold" coronaviruses and have read the possible cross immunity studies. And I have seen all the statistics that others have posted on this board that should give me more confidence but the cycle remains. So just looking for some legitimate advice on how you all are handling your anxieties.

Thank you for those words.

I'm saying goodbye to my grandma today and I needed that.

(Sorry to be a downer, and she's had a stroke and Is going. Not Covid related at all)

I've never been a hypochondriac either. I was doing fine till I had the usual beginning/first symptom of a cold for me, which is an uncomfortable feeling/pain where the nose connects with the throat. Immediately went to have a rapid test (yesterday) which was negative - I wanted to know asap as we have contact with my MIL weekly. (she lives alone and has no social contact with anyone, we feel the risk is worth it)

Doc thinks my symptom is allergies/irritation from the dust (I don't normally have allergies). Took zyrtec and flonase and was/am fine. But now I can't sleep through the night, and I think it is anxiety. I'm breathing fine but it is a totally irrational not getting enough oxygen worry that snaps me wide awake then can't get back to sleep thinking of the false negatives and what if the only symptom is low o2 levels...

So I bought a pulse ox, will be here Tuesday. Hoping it will give me peace of mind so I can sleep again.
