CARES Act had a provision that Medicare would pay an additional 20% for a CV inpatient. What would have been a stay at home patient is now an admission.
ER doctors don't care about hospital reimbursement and we are the ones determining who gets admitted. Insurance will not pay for people that do not require hospital admission. We have to prove that a patient needs to be admitted to a hospital via oxygen requirements, acute organ dysfunction, etc. This isn't some conspiracy to get more money. None of these people being admitted are "stay at home patients".

Don't wast your time. You aren't going to convince him of anything. He latches on to a conspiracy and will hold on for life

This may not be the best thread to ask but: of those who you have seen or admitted how many have been prior military? Is there any way to find that out besides just asking?

Some of those on the on the TR had not received an MMR for 15 years and still showed that it helped.

AMR releases a paper saying that the MMR given to recruits in boot camp (naval or other wise) and other geography based vaccination efforts have shown that MMR has shown it can eliminate the worst symptoms.

MMR isn't really given in bootcamp anymore. Since pretty much everyone should've gotten it in school at this point, they do a blood draw to ensure MMR anitbody titer levels are sufficient. If not, then they get a booster.

However, to answer your question, I don't have data you're looking for.

I know a few people from the navy and back in 2004 I think they were still doing them. Maybe not so much anymore but the folks on the TR all got theirs, again.

Just be interesting to see what doc are seeing on the front lines
