Certainly it seems logical that the herd immunity line could/should be lower with masks and distancing properly executed. There is certainly a LOT more use of hand sanitizers and such, though not sure increased hand washing will stick long term. I'm curious if any of this is still in place how mild flu season might be...

I hope this is winding down, but the optimistic predictions in 2020 have been just as far off as the apocalyptic ones. So we will see.

More likely driver is a larger percentage of the population has immunity or adequate immune response from thousands of years of repeated exposure to various viruses.
