Low grade fever. Malaise. Aches. Sore throat. Sure she contracted it at her high school or more likely the packed football stadium with zero precautions.

Quarantined. Myself, wife and son getting tested tomorrow. My son can't play football for 14 days.

Sucks. If I get it will be financial disaster as we are dicey already.

Just curious but are you going to take off work till day 5ish and get tested? Or wait for symptoms and use standard precautions like a normal work week?

We are okay. My wife has hypogammaglobulinemia. She has high anxiety now. Worry about her more than anything.

Re: the financial hit, I have thought about that with me and my wife, as we are both self-employed. Both of us being shut down for two weeks would suck beyond words. I know you are in B'ham and hospital based, but I guess I always assumed you were dealing with either ER, ICU, or covid units. Has billing been unusually low (less elective surgeries, etc)?

Yes. We have covids in hospital. Numbers down. Office / clinic is at 60% precovid. We got PPP loan which helped for 2 mos. Havent furloughed anyone and now it is dicey.

Man that just sucks, and the general population has no idea. Hat tip, I did graduate school (PhD Clinical Psychology) at Auburn 90-97, and a year in there for internship at UAB School of Medicine/Bryce State Hospital in Tuscaloosa 95-96 and lived in Hoover. Also dated an uber rich girl (dad had a big law firm) from Mountain Brook. Random, but just throwing that out there.

No. Our first 2 home games postponed. Start with 4 on the road. Zero mitigation rules. Hence mob crowds. 100% convinced she got covid in the mosh pit student section of our first game. On the bright side - we are #1 in 6A in the state. Undefeated so far. Bummed. My son out for next 2 games due to 14 day quarantine rule. Draconian. They won't allow 2 neg covid swabs and no symptoms to rejoin team. With just exposure.

When it comes to the HCQ cocktail, there are plenty of folks who view themselves as more capable and insightful than trained medical professionals who actually treat COVID patients.

That's pretty silly to be honest, two negative tests with no symptoms in a teenager should be more than sufficient

Am I misreading this? Loss of taste and smell don't count as symptoms.

Is this another example of a clinical term being misused/misunderstood by the general public?
