I think ol Gus was wearing one in the later game.
Saban knows the masks are useless, especially since they're rarely actually on faces, so might as well be stylish.

Saban's mask was just a subtle dig at our defense- ineffective and honestly pointless
So that's why he's doing all those PSA's to urge people and mascots to wear them.
Where do I get a Saban mask?
I've made a few mesh masks. They are very easy and comfortable to breathe in
I think they are covered with a layer of plastic that has anti-fog properties. I think it filters air around the sides. Just a guess.
I'm curious about these masks. Several coaches were wearing them on Saturday.
We were there and with the stadium being quiet the mask did not cover up an f bomb we heard clearly from Saban.

That same paper also talks about emerging evidence that supports universal masking and goes so far as to recommend governments should encourage mask wearing by the general public.badbilly said:

Yes it does, but that still doesn't change the facts that no studies have been done to evaluate the effectiveness or potential ADVERSE effects of the mask. We have the means to treat Covid, but it must be done early. Rapid test results are necessary. Anecdotal evidence, I got Covid wearing a mask and probably many others have since the mask mandate went into effect. He is. Got three negative tests. Not sure how it's possible to test positive Wednesday and then get three negative tests since then. Guessing he is a ****ing superhuman specimen.

They seem to have a problem with them slipping when they talk or with sweat. Constantly repositioning them. Otherwise looks comfortable though. Still can't figure out the mesh.
