Driving in Austin this morning and there was a couple walking with masks on and their 2 dogs had masks on. I had to pinch myself to make sure I was not seeing things. Then I read it is a real thing.

Masks absolutely DO restrict your breathing.

Anything with an elevated aerobic activity level should not be done while wearing a mask. Why? Because they restrict your breathing!

I'm a veterinarian. Breathing is how dogs control body temperature. Putting a mask on your dog is asking, maybe begging, for heatstroke.

For this company of these types if masks to say the dog needs it if a human has to wear one us asinine. How can they say that without proof?

Just lawsuits waiting to happen. That was my impression and if the stupid ass company didn't consult a vet (how could they have?) then I hope they go out of business fast.
