Kind of random but my brother and sister in law (mid 40s both otherwise healthy) have both tested Covid +. Brother got it first last weekend. He was helping my parents clean out their garage Saturday and felt tired and achy Sunday. Thought he was just sore from working all day Saturday. Monday morning he had a 100 fever so he got tested before going in to work and was positive. Sister in law tested positive the next day and developed symptoms end of last week.
Thankfully neither of my parents have had symptoms yet (they are both high risk and socially distanced from brother last weekend).
What's been weird about my brother and sis in laws cases is they have never had any of the "usual" symptoms (no coughing, no trouble breathing, no loss of smell/taste). All they have had was nausea, fatigue and soreness with sporadic low grade fever.
They are both still sick (brother is finally turning the corner), both say they have never been sick like this. Both have had to go to ER for IVs for dehydration.
I just think it's strange that both have the same symptoms which I know are Covid symptoms but neither have had the respiratory issues. Both of them report it's like the worst stomach flu they have ever had, and instead of lasting 24-48 hours, it's going on 10 days now.
I'm probably outing myself as total Covidiot, but are their possibly different strains of this thing, or do certain people just react differently to it, or as I suspect, do we just not really have any idea right now?
