I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old. Can anybody shed light on how likely it is that children of that age contract the virus and also how likely it is they actually fall seriously ill or die?

I have a family member not wanting to do thanksgiving because they are worried about the kids getting sick. Based on everything I have heard and read the risk to the kids themselves is infinitesimally small, but I need to bring some hard facts to the table here.

Last I checked, you can count the deaths for kids under 10 on one hand. They also are virtually incapable of spreading it to adults.

The lack of social interaction is the most dangerous part of this pandemic for kids.

Three year old is in daycare three days a week and does playdates all the time. The concern(which I don't share with respect to the kids) is around certain family members who have been doing a lot of traveling about and going into the office.
