Went to bed early Saturday, felt fine just tired. Woke up in the middle of the night twice with really sore throat and headache. Woke up Sunday morning with same sore throat that was some better but felt off all day. No fever no abnormal cough. Had mild body aches and joint pain, mild fatigue still had taste and smell. Took a nap Sunday afternoon and felt some better but still had some body aches, could feel lymph nodes swollen and tender in neck. Slept great last night, woke up this morning feeling about the same, mild aches and joint pain, mild sore throat, mild headache, mild fatigue. Also have brain fog today and bowels are loose but not diarrhea. 32 yo male with seasonal allergies and mild asthma.

I've had employees with similar symptoms test positive. I'd play it safe and get tested.

I know PCR is better but what about Rapid? My wife is a school teacher so probably need results quickly

Get the rapid, but ask them to take a sample to send off for PCR, too.

I'm positive and the only symptoms I've had are nasal congestion and loss of taste/smell. Physically, I feel fine. I think you have enough symptoms to warrant a test. At the least, you shouldn't go to work.

Current protocol is to isolate for 10 days from the date of first symptom, if you test positive.

At this point, I'd assume anything is possible.

I read that ear discomfort/congestion isn't a symptom, but guess where my nasal congestion moves to in the evenings/at night?

Almost convinced myself to not get tested because of that.

I'm not talking like mumps swelling or mono or anything like that. Just tell they are going to work and are very tender. But anytime I get the flu or anything similar I have similar reactions. Like my body shouting at me that it's about to go down for a bit

As a side note trying to get tested is a major major pain in the ass. PCR was easy but rapid is tough because of my HMO plan

I went to Next Level Urgent Care. Paid $75 for a rapid test, but they did not charge me the $175 office visit and filed that with my insurance.

PCR was supposed to take 1-3 business days, and I got my results this morning (sample was collected on Saturday)

I got charged $250 at a 24/7 ER place in town but they are the only ones that would allow me to pay cash. My insurance said to file a claim and I should get the bulk of that back. The other places in town wouldn't even consider a rapid test with my plan or even cash pay

Rapid test negative only means you do not have enough viral load right now to trigger the positive. Hopefully they sent off for PCR?

If my PCR test is negative I'll be surprised. I feel like trash this morning. Too early in the morning to accurately describe my symptoms. Last night had to take my inhaler twice. Didn't had any wheezing but chest felt tight like I couldn't get air in well along with earlier symptoms, still able to smell and taste. Was asleep by 9 last night. Woke up at 4 and am still in bed but can feel my body pretty sore and fatigued. I'll update later

I am having extreme fatigue, but I am a teacher and virtual plus face to face at the same time is draining to say the least. I always have pain because of bad hip so we fill out the qualtrix form every day and I have to lie a little bit about the pain question or they would never let me go to school.
All that said, I have a runny nose this morning. Trying to decide if I want to try to go to school or not. No fever or sore through, just a runny nose and I do have allergy issues and I was out of flonase.

4 PM update:
Still nothing back on my test. Got up around 7 and honestly felt mostly fine all day. Not 100% but fine. Been doing some odds and ends around the house and been fine until a few minutes ago when I got pretty tired. Sore throat gone headache practically not there. Very very mild muscle aches. So who knows

7:30 update
7 on the dot I started playing out. Giving the kid a shower winded me. Headache back. Need to take my inhaler. Feel like it's harder to breathe. Not bad at all but noticeable

Whether it ends up being Covid or not, I hope you feel better soon. Let us know when you get the test result, please.

My brother in law swore he had it, tested negative twice in one week on the rapid test, finally got the more reliable test and was positive. Hope you feel better soon, your headache and body aches sure sound like you have the virus.

I'll keep everyone updated. Played out about 10 last night slept well and feel ok again this morning. Extremely mild aches, mild headache, and very mild sore throat. Energy levels fine this morning. We will are hoping to hear today as I have a buddy who is having to work from home until I get my results since we hunted together Friday afternoon

My son's school will not accept the results from a rapid test so we have to wait for his PCR results. Several of my customers are the same so they have lots of people taking off 2-3 days every time the get a runny nose (exaggerating but some people are using it to get out of work).
