Not a doc. And i don't work for a hospital.

But hosptials I work with, are all saying arrival next week and start administering immediately.

I know a couple that have set dates week of 12/21 to administer based on expected arrival week of 12/14.

We found out as we had scheduled blood drives with the hospitals and had to move rooms to accommodate their vaccine administration. That and it comes with a 14 day deferral, so we are having to juggle donor pool with their employees.

I work for a state health care entity and the plan for the rollout will be release tomorrow to personnel. There will be some kind of tiered system based on research area related to virus and/or proximity to patient care.

Some of the hospitals in my area of Eastern NC already have doses ready to go. They expect to start administering them on Monday.

Heard from my direct manager that we will likely have doses at the start of next week. Nothing official in terms of coordinating vaccination from the uppers. Most of our staff are going to decline the vaccine. I'm going to take it.

I'm interested in what percentage who "qualify" will decide to get it.

I hope a ton. I get being worried about a rushed vaccine, but lets be honest, those needing it the most have nothing to worry about long term, they'll be dead before long term matters.

Now, I'm not suggesting there are issues, but I get concerns. I'm in my 40s and kind of wondering what to do. But, if I'm 80 there is no question I'd be first in line.

I am speaking more for health care providers (doctors, nurses, hospital staff etc) that are "young and healthy" or at least not in higher risk categories with age and other risk factors.

Local hospitals expecting wave 1 Wednesday, at administration points by Thursday

Will be enough for all providers and front line staff at 100% taking, so even wave 1 should have enough to start covering some vulnerable patient populations

Our hospital system in Houston had everyone make appointments with the first date offered if the 16th. I'm not clinical or patient facing so I am not first offered.

The only one I know that scheduled already is Methodist, and they regret getting ahead of their skis.

If all goes to plan they won't be far off, so they aren't going to walk it back now

We're out on Pfizer. Too small and no supercold refrigerators. I think we're at top of the list for Moderna if it gets approved next week

I keep seeing different timelines for when different groups should be able to get the vaccine (i.e. March-May for general public).

Is this based on the assumption that we will be using Pfizer, Moderna, Astrazeneca, and whatever else is in the pipeline combined? i.e. if any particular vaccine has a hiccup, is it going to dramatically change the timeline or is it possible if they all go through without a hitch, the timeline could be improved using different vaccines in parallel?

I have no idea how you get the vaccine. Like if you can walk in and get it, or what, but here is the list of Texas Hospitals receiving the vaccine and how much:

Our hospitals have received the vaccine and will start administering Tuesday morning. We received 40,000 doses for 14 hospitals.

I'd be interested in what kind of immune response and symptoms you get from the vaccine.

Here are my questions.

Is the durability and efficacy of any natural immunity due to recovering from an infection is related to the severity of the infection?

If so, are people that recovered with help from early use of monoclonal antibodies at risk of having a less durable or effective mine response to later exposure compared to those that didn't receive that treatment?

I posted a study on here that showed antibodies wane with time and are linearly related to degree of symptoms. So yes. Milder the illness the less antibody and T cell immunity.

What about the second question? That was my real curiosity.
