How is that possible if I'm immune?

I'm assuming you have a medical background?

I promise I'm not trying to be combative, I'm just really discouraged by what I'm reading.

I figured once a person has taken their final shot and has immunity it's over for them, they can go back to living. But the media doesn't make it sound that way.

Vaccine isn't 100% effective and we don't know for certain it produces sterilIzing immunity. Masks will be required for awhile until the vaccine has been mass produced.

Large VA in central NM started Pfizer shots this morning.

1000 doses received I believe.

Got jabbed with the first dose Tuesday. So far just local soreness that I only notice if I press on the area.

I feel like the more people who get the shot and are fine the more willing people will be to get it.

The hospital I work at in Eastern NC will get the Moderna vaccine next week. Assuming it is approved.

Got the Pfizer vaccine yesterday morning. Arm is sore, otherwise no symptoms.

Yeah, but how many arms do you have now?

40 hours in and I was surprised how sore the arm is, much more than a normal vaccine.

But still no big deal.

Count your blessings you never got the anthrax shot. The best way I can describe it is like shards of glass in your shoulder for 2-3 days.

Also, anyone have a pretty robust immune response? Got Pfizer yesterday around 4pm. Today woke up with a few aches, but nothing that felt more than typical soreness. Then around noon started feeling pretty achey and a little warm, though highest my temp got to was 98.5.

Wondering if I had a prior asymptomatic infection and now having a robust immune response similar to how to second vaccine dose is supposed to hit you hard.

Ditto myself with arm soreness. Seems to be universal.

Got mine last Friday. Arm soreness mostly gone away.

Monday and Tuesday had some sinus type headache and not much energy. Don't know if it was a coincidence or if it was the vaccine. Otherwise feel fine.

I will say though, I've had some crazy dreams.

Tonight (a little more than 48 hours) I'm definitely having a significant reaction. Aches, watery eyes and very mild headache. Biggest thing is I notice the lymph nodes in the armpit of the side I got the shot are quite swollen and sensitive.

Our chief of infectious disease swears this is all a great sign as to the effectiveness of the vaccine.

Perhaps the people with the sorest arms/lymph nodes/etc have already had it?

Could make sense if your lymphocytes are cranking up less than 24 hours from getting the shot...

I had it back sometime in March - got a positive antibody test in late April, so that tracks

For me hours 28-36 post vaccination were bad. I was exhausted last night but couldn't fall asleep, sensitive skin, felt warm, but no fever, resting HR was in the 70s when it's normally in the 60's, achy, just couldn't get comfortable. Woke up a couple times during the night. It really kicked my butt. But around 4am-5am I started feeling ok. And was able to get some sleep and wake up probably 90% better than when I went to sleep.

I'm now about 42 hours post vaccination and arm is totally normal unless I press on the vaccination site. Then feels a little bruised. No more headache.

I'm starting to really wonder if I had a mild, asymptomatic, case earlier. Kinda wish I had gotten the antibody test before the vaccination.
