Does anybody know if high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and inflammatory arthritis get an above 60 but less than 65 into the 1b group?

If you want the vaccine now I would encourage you to call any sites in your area, explain your situation, and see if they will give it to you. My guess is a site would be likely to provide you the vaccine. Hopefully someone under 65, who has been vaccinated (not in the 1A group), can share what is required as far as conditions or documentation.

I was just told by my Dr. that HBP does not count. I'm not sure about High cholesterol but pretty sure it doesn't either. Unless you have had a heart attack or have congestive heart failure I believe it doesn't count as heart disease. I'm fat so I have that going for me. I'll go on a diet after I get the vaccine.

From: https://www.dshs.texas.gov/coronavirus/immunize/vaccine/EVAP-Phase1B.pdf

(The "but not limited to" is an interesting addition, I still suggest just calling around and I think you might have success as they want to get these vaccines administered)

Texas Phase 1B Vaccine Priorities
People 65 years of age and older
People 16 years of age and older with at least one chronic medical condition that puts them at increased risk for severe illness from the virus that causes COVID-19, such as but not limited to:
Cancer
Chronic kidney disease
COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathies
Solid organ transplantation
Obesity and severe obesity (body mass index of 30 kg/m2 or higher)
Pregnancy
Sickle cell disease
Type 2 diabetes mellitus

So, if you don't meet the criteria above currently and really want the vaccine and are male, start mainlining cheeseburgers.

If female, PM me.

Why not just call the locations and say you've had a heart attack?

Are they asking for your medical records to prove you have pre existing conditions?

Good on ya.

Still doesn't answer my question.

How do they verify you have a preexisting condition?

I don't have a PCP, so not sure who they would even contact if they wanted. Maybe insurance history?

I got my first shot in SA at Santa Rosa on Babcock. I am 62 with underlying conditions but they never asked about any of that when signed up for my appointment. Signed up online.
