Looks like we all got it around New Years. (We were all together for 2 weeks).

Both of my parents, Sister and BIL, Myself and my wife.

We would not have known it had my sister not been tested prior to attending a funeral.

After my sister got the positive test we realized we had some symptoms, but they were so insignificant we didn't realize it. My mom had a head cold, I noticed my back was achy, but thought it was from the long drive home.

We hung out with my grandparents, but they both already had it back in July.

I am honestly shocked we just now got it as we have basically taken zero precautions this whole year.

Fortunate if your parents are over age 60 that things weren't more serious.

I'm 52 and in pretty good shape and it kicked my ass for over 10 days.

Ive been working this week with a colleague that had it back in Nov. He is still having breathing issues and he is noticably having cognitive issues. He just isn't as sharp or as bright as he was. Monday I just thought he was tired or bored but it has been all week.

Both are 60. Dad never showed symptoms, mom took Tylenol for a couple days due to headaches.

My grandparents are in their 80s and did not require a dr. visit, but we did get them a pulse oximeter to monitor their levels. They were very reluctant to go to the dr. And due to not knowing his phone was on do not disturb my grandad did not find out his test was positive until 14 days after his exposure.

That's awesome. I look forward to one day understanding what makes such a huge difference in how it affects seemingly similar people.

All of us got tested and were positive since we are all going to work and church in person.

Likely my brothers have it as well as we were in the car together for 2 hours but they did not get tested and have not had symptoms.

That's really great.

In my household we've all had symptoms except the six year old. Mine lasted two weeks and ended up as a bad sinus infection that I've only just now been able to get over. All in all not as downright miserable as a bad flu, but the damned longevity of this thing and the lasting fatigue makes it a real ass hole.

Hope y'all get though it ok. This virus is such a crazy random thing in terms of transmission.

My wife was exposed to a patient, who hours later tested positive, but was asymptomatic for about 10 minutes and contracted it (while wearing a mask and other PPE...the patient removed their mask for a few minutes). Over the next 3 days I was VERY exposed to her and she was actively around our two young kids in the same period. Around day 4 she developed a fever with headache and body aches. She was tested that day and was confirmed positive. We began quarantine at home with both of us wearing masks in the house, keeping general distance from each other while I took care of the kids. After 10 days her symptoms subsided with lingering loss of taste and smell. We tested both the kids around day 5 and both were negative. I was 100% sure I had it given my exposure levels, but had no symptoms whatsoever. I was tested for antibodies at the end of 14 days past her exposure and had nothing...I never had it. Was really shocking given my levels of exposure to her during those 14 days.

It's like this virus is incredibly transmissible and at the same time not.

not being a smart a**... but i think that condition applies to anyone who is sick for a couple weeks.

2 weeks of laying around watching netflix and sleeping for 14 hours per day will do that.

I agree. Hell it's happened to me before. But it has been a month since he "recovered"

I dont think he is going to have long term brain damage but even he admitted that he isn't as sharp as he used to be.

Long term cognitive brain affects are being widely reported. I have a good friend who is about 2 months recovered, but has random recall issues. This has happened before with other viruses.

So, here's a weird one. Not only is my smell and taste gone, but my tongue is just turned off. I have burned the roof of my mouth twice. Once it blistered and the skin came off. My tongue didn't tell my mouth not to throw that hot ass sweet potato up there. Surprised me both times and now I don't test it anymore. I thought it was the nose not allowing the tongue to taste, but something else is happening there.

The other thing is the vertigo. Just dizzy at times. Feels like there's an earthquake. Took a shower in a travel trailer the other day and thought I was in a windstorm and the trailer was rocking like crazy, but it was calm when I came out.

In my case, I recognize the brain fog as extreme fatigue. Sometimes after working at the ranch I'm trying to go to bed and just can't get my **** together. Pills, where's my towel, pillow, where the f is my iPad charger, ****, left the outside light on, etc. I'll walk in circles for half an hour just stupid as all hell because I'm exhausted.

Today I got up at 6, took a kid to cheer practice, drank two cups of coffee, constitutional, picked up kid from cheer, and promptly had to lay down for two hours before I could get cleaned up and go to work.

By afternoon on about every other day I'm operating on 3-5 cylinders...out of 8. Can walk up some stairs, have a meeting, answer some emails and I need to rest. The other days, I'm doing pretty good. I really think that brain fog could just be the guy is still just ruined tired and can't catch up.

Does it depend on what you watch? There is some serious crap out there on Netflix that isn't worth watching...

My experience was a sinus infection which I am prone to getting. Doc confirmed and prescribed amoxicillin and went ahead and got tested. If I hadn't gone to the doc I never would have known. Wife slept in same bed and we kissed. She tested negative twice. No one else in the house caught it.

Crazy how this impacts people so differently!
