Is there any evidence that getting the first dose vaccine and then contracting Covid the following week will make the disease more or less severe?

As soon as we have the first few cases in people who had the vaccine you can expect the mandates to last the rest of our lives....

meanwhile every year people get the flu shot and then still get the flu.

That sounds overly dramatic, I don't agree with you.

When we hit the hospitalization and fatality rates that are similar to the flu, which will be soon (a few months) in my opinion, then everything will be business as usual. Hospitalizations are key I think.

Starting to agree. I heard yesterday that my company may continue with WFH for the rest of the year. Which isn't great if you are in outside sales

Curious about this as well. I guess me and my family will be a mini case study.

Mom and grandma (has Alzheimer's) had to go pick up my cousin (mid 20's) for some heart related issues and take him to the ER on Thursday. Found out today that he just tested positive for COVID. Mom was wearing an N95 but it didn't have the best fit since she wasn't planning on going out and had to use my dads. Grandma won't wear a mask unless she feels playful and wants to be silly.

Both of them got the vaccine a week ago Sunday... Hopefully it provides some protection even if it doesn't keep them from getting it.
