Many thanks to all for your advice on the congestion thread. Congestion is very light at this point for me and I'm not using anything to control congestion at this point.

This thing has been a tough one to kick... when it feels like it's done and all is doing well, fever pops back up out of nowhere (gets to around 101F before I hit it with Tylenol and it retreats fairly quickly to 98F). I'm managing fever with Extra Strength Tylenol and have Motrin in case I need to rotate. Breathing is fine and O2 saturation is staying between 96-98. Stomach has that nervous/anxious feeling so not having a huge appetite right now. I am still drinking at least a gallon of water each day. Anxiety is likely leading to difficulty sleeping as it was tough to fall asleep last night (10mg of Melatonin did nothing last night).

For those that have gone 10+ days with this stuff, when did your fever finally stay away? How long could I expect to have it recur given where I'm at in the cycle? Are sleep aids ok (ZZZQuil or something similar)?

I generally feel fine other than when the fever pops back up.

Each person is different, remember that. I had a fever for 12 days. Only a few times was it at or a little more than 101. Mostly high 99s and mid 100s. It would come and go. Day 10 it was gone for most of the day and thought I was done (only other symptoms I had were headaches-those were gone at day 8-and some fatigue). Came back day 11 at 101 and then was completely gone by late day 12. Not uncommon from my research and doc. In fact, not uncommon at all for all symptoms to come and go over it's course.

I took melatonin for sleep and is recommended by many for covid. Anxiety is the hidden symptom by far ...think over 1/2 get it and why wouldn't you?. Your brain starts messing with you due to all that you hear and read and thinking this should be a linear improvement in getting better. You can't compare this to the flu or other sicknesses you have had (in a lot of cases at least). Somewhere along the line we have forgotten the odds are extremely on our side for us to be ok and this to be mild. Your O2 is awesome...that should ease your worries...especially for day 10. Just be aware but try to relax, rest, and breathe.

Hang in there, bet you are close to being done in a few days.

I'm on day 7 and have had zero fever - in fact, none of us have, except for my son on his first day.

I ran a fever for a full two weeks. The first week my fever was quite high. 102, sometimes 103 right before it was time to take my Tylenol. I also had issues with limbs going numb and severe leg pain towards the end.

My pcp gave me script for anxiety that I took in the evening. I took melatonin as well. When it was time for my Tylenol in the evening I took 2 extra strength Tylenol PMs.

When I felt anxious I tried to do something around the house or find something to watch to keep my mind off of it. Easier said than done I know.

Only a few more days. You've got this.

Honest question: why do people take Tylenol for a 101 degree fever? Doesn't fever help fight the virus? I always thought it was best not to take anything unless it got up to 102-103?

generally because it feels pretty crummy to have a fever and people like to get rid of it. I don't know if fever helps fight or if it's just an indication of illness/immune response

That is what I have always believed, and what the diagnosing doc told me as well. He said treating feeling bad is ok, just know that fever is an indication your body is fighting.

I had fever for 12 days and then started a new regimen with Ivermectin, zpac and steroid and my fever broke on day 14 and within 5-6 days felt alot better ... I still have issues with fatigue along with my sense of taste and smell, coming and going since then...it's really strange to be ok a few days then it seems be back? I tested positive on December 19th and tested Negative on Jan 5th..

I think I finally turned the corner on this thing. Feeling much better today after a rough night. Temp today bouncing around low 99's to upper 98's with no meds. Congestion disappeared, and I generally feel much better although a bit tired.

Planning to take it extremely easy the next few days, lots of water/Gatorade, light food and very light walking.

Thanks again to everyone for all of the advice along the way!!!
