We had to read a book called The Goal in a grad school class on operational optimization. They talked about the "Herbies" which were machines with the lowest throughput that slowed down the productivity of other more efficient production nodes down the line.
I have been wondering just what the herbies are in this process. It can't be the actual vaccination. From what everyone says, that takes a short period of time. This seems like an incredibly simple process. You check in, you wait in line, you get the shot, you leave.
