Click the link above. Where are you willing to drive them on that list? Then start scheduling appointments. Texarkana is scheduling for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week.
You can't get appointments in the metro areas, but if you are able to drive to more rural areas, it looks like you can get them.

So is cvs just giving shots to anyone who signs up, regardless of group? Do some just lie about a chronic problem and they get the shot?

They are not allowed to ask. If you sign up and say you are 1a or 1b then you can get it.

When you schedule an appointment, you do have to confirm that you meet eligibility requirements. They don't perform a medical exam when you arrive. So, if someone lies, that's on them. If an audit is ever performed for some reason, then CVS did what they needed to do. It's the person receiving the vaccine who is responsible for getting it illegally.

Fixed it for you

If someone is only capable of calling their doctor's office and going there, they're likely going to have to wait until later this year to get vaccinated. Good thing most seniors seem to be tech savvy enough or have the family that can help them.

That's what I typed.

I'm not certain that it's illegal to lie about medical history in order to obtain a vaccination, but I am certain that not telling the truth about one's medical history in order to obtain a vaccination is definitely a lie. Not sure that's debatable.

Honestly, though, I'm not interested in debating anything with you. You believe what you believe, facts be damned.

I received round one of the vaccine this morning at a CVS about 60 miles south of Dallas.

They really cycle the folks through. I had a text and web based check in process. You then get screened for temperature and if that is fine you get the jab. I received the Pfizer dose.

CVS is definitely not sticking to reservation slots. A guy behind me came in three hours early and they let him in line. As others have mentioned, they turn it pretty quickly.
