I know alcohol consumption can weaken the immune system at a certain point. Could this also inhibit antibody development during the time a vaccine should be doing it's thing? If so, would it take heavy drinking to have an impact?

The spanish flu killed the young more than the old. this was because the older had a shot of liquor every night, which killed the virus. Young people didn't drink.

Drink up Johnny

This is a known thing that is non specific to any one vax or cold. Drinking lowers your immune response whether against fighting a cold or building a response to a vaccine.

Just take a night off. If like me you won't feel much like drinking anyways.

Thanks. What I'm really wondering is whether alcohol consumption over the whole 5-6 week course (for the mRNA vax) has a detrimental impact on the development of antibodies. Perhaps it's like most other things where moderation is fine but overdoing it could have an adverse effect.
