if it saves one life
Fauci says so
variants, variants, variants
you can still transmit it even if you are vaccinated...at least we think so
Fauci says so
because vaccines are not one hundred percent certain.
Because I don't wear a mask for me...I wear one for the grandmother , the fireman, the nurse, the hospice worker
because it's the right thing to do.

You shouldn't. Take it off as much as possible and be part of the trend back to normality

The official narrative from the CDC is to continue wearing your mask even after being vaccinated because you can still pass it to unvaccinated people.

Once the vaccine is available to 100% of people, masks should no longer be required. I shouldn't have to be considerate to the non-vaccinated once it becomes a choice to not get vaccinated. You not wanting the vaccine is not my problem.

The non-vaccinated would probably prefer you didn't wear a mask.

Wow. There is no scientific case for this.

If you've had the vaccine there is no reason to wear the mask.

And the problem is, this is just doing more harm than good

They are erring on the side of 100% caution, which you just can't make reasonable progress forward while doing. the 1 in a 10,000 chance(or whatever low ass % it is) a vaccinated person not only gets, but passes the virus, is so low, it should be acknowledged. This isn't even including the low percentage of those that a mask would actually make any kind of difference towards, which is few and far between if I had to guess. But that's speculation.

What they actually do is create more divide. The vaccine hesitant less likely to get it. More skeptical masks ever go away. The pro mask crowd still lashing out at the anti mask crowd calling them selfish, looking down on them, going over the top saying even if you have it, you can spread it!

We have reduced all ability to reasonably evaluate risk any more when you have people shouting but yeah, you can still spread it! And it has a negative net effect.

This- 99% of people who don't get the vaccine know they have a 99.995% chance of surviving it and DGAF if you mask up.

You do you and leave me the hell alone to do as I please.

That is what people traditionally consider a polite society.

Yea, I know. It was directed to the CDC and others who think we should still wear masks for the non vaccinated.

Because the alternative in a paranoid society is to start vaccine passport checking to get in the grocery store and nobody wants that...cause nazis and stuff or something per F16 and Twitter.

It is available now to any who want it. You can walk into most doctor's offices and get it today. The only people who don't have it now are (1) people who don't want it, or (2) people who are home bound or in an institution who said "no" when they came through giving it before. I mention (2) because there are a lot of people in nursing homes who said no the first time because they were scared who now realized they screwed up and want them to come back.

Anytime a restaurant or store doesn't have a mask sign up, do your duty to return us back to normalcy and keep your mask in your pocket.

Agree

Anyone Voluntarily wearing a mask any second it isn't 100% mandatory = part of the problem

The real answer is the vast majority would stop wearing masks and we would all return to normal and forget about Covid. Government doesn't want to relinquish control or want that to happen.

Unfortunately this is really the only option left. It makes zero scientific sense for the cdc to still require masks once you have been vaccinated. So the only answer left is that unfortunately they just don't want to give up the power (plus people like Fauci and other suddenly famous scientists clearly don't want to give up the spotlight either).

I stopped masking unless it is absolutely required 2 weeks after my 2nd shot.

Current evidence shows the risk of asymptomatic spread after vaccine is minimal.

Masking is still currently required by my employer during office visits. I don't care if my patients/families mask or not.

I am double jabbed and no longer wear a mask unless it is required (i.e. planes, restaurants). Fauci can continue to pander to the fear mongers but not to me!

There is 0 reason to wear one once vaccinated. And, it's not polite to expect those of us who are vaccinated to mask.

1. Now that the vaccine is available to all, the obligation to wear a mask to protect others no longer applies.

2. Only N95 masks protect the wearer, all other masks are intended to protect others from the wearer.

3. None of these masks actually stop viral spread when an infected, symptomatic person is coughing or sneezing.

4. More and more evidence is showing that people who are infected and asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic do not significantly spread the virus. Vaccinated individuals who get re-infected but are asymptomatic have a very low risk of spreading the virus.

Many illogical people in the world.

As I said in another thread...

"I'm fully vaccinated. I wear masks still"
Seems as logical as "I'm fully potty trained. I still wear diapers."

Have we lost all common sense?
beerad12man
How long do you want to ignore this user?

Yes. Not just common sense but a complete lack of reasonable risk assessment. That had gone out the window for many

It's the "new risk" phenomena.

I got the shot, but I was already not wearing one unless I had too, so I doubt I'll start now.
